Report Punjab Government Failure
Government is made of individuals that we elect to serve us. We elect these individuals to represent us in local and central governments. To make sure our voice is heard. To ensure that we get what is best for our areas, as individuals or families and as communities.
All too often this is forgotten and those we elect seek only to serve themselves. To gain what they can from their positions. Because they have powers, be they big or small, to affect our lives and the rights we have as citizens of India.
These elected individuals can hurt the citizens they should be protecting by asking for bribes. But they can also hurt us through not listening to what we ask from them or asking for things that will benefit themselves and not their electorate. By using their own voice and not ours.
A politician is simply one of us. A politician is a citizen of India with a vote. They are the people to whom we should be able to turn when problems fall on our shoulders. They should help make our individual and collective voices heard to those who decide policies and map out the ways that our lives will be affected by regulations and laws.
The government must be accountable to the citizens who elected them.
We therefore ask you to report any area of our government in Punjab that is not acting in the best interests of its citizens.
We want to hear about it whatever the party involved. Because governments of local state or national level should be accountable for actions that will affect us now and into the future.
We know that we can’t please all of the people all of the time. That a policy which makes one man rich can make another man poor. We strive to achieve the best we can with the tools we have. But what we can do is wipe out bad governance. To inculcate a level of good governance in Punjab that is unparalleled. Governance to make Punjab proud.
